Striped Crochet Bag from Attic 24

Striped Crochet Bag from Attic 24

If this bag doesn’t inspire you to get crocheting, I don’t know what will! Lucy at Attic 24 has done a beautiful job selecting the colors for this bag and she has written up the instructions and posted them on her website. I started to make one of my own, but I didn’t do nearly as good a job choosing the colors. I think I am going to rip it out and start over. I won’t even post the picture. It’s embarrassing.

After I abandoned the bag (for now), I started working on a cozy inspired by Lucy’s Jar Jackets. This cozy is for the plant the church sent us after David’s mom died. The colors aren’t exactly true in the picture. Most of them are fairly accurate, but the ball of yarn is actually a deep purple, not blue. When I’m done with it, I’ll try taking a picture during the day when we have better lighting.

Love the colors! It’s nice to see you give new life to crochet.

  2. Hey! Awesome work you do here! Just wanted to let you know that you won my monkey contest! Woohoo! Which means your little monkey is actually gonna look like one:) Email me your mailing address and I will send it out to you ASAP. Only rule: you have to post pictures so we can see how cute she looks (pretty please, it’s not really a rule, it’s more of a request!). Hope you like. http://www.parentingbydummies@gmail.com

Oh, yeah…that purse is totally inspiring, as are your jar jackets.

I can’t wait to see your bag once you re-start it :)
