I’ve Been Making Earrings

Last week, I was busy making earrings. Most of them went to the indoor flea market. I have a friend who has a booth there, and for a small share of the rent she is letting me put some of my crafts in her booth. The first two weekends, I didn’t sell anything. I decided to try making some cheaper items this time. I made up a bunch of $4.00 earrings and dropped them off Thursday afternoon. The flea market is open Fridays and Saturdays. I haven’t heard yet whether I sold anything this weekend or not. Fingers crossed.

Here is an example of the $4.00 earrings I made for the flea market. Most of them were made from polymer clay beads like these, but they are assorted designs, not all zombies. I will be listing one pair of the zombie earrings on Etsy as well, but I probably won’t get them listed until late this afternoon.

These “Shades of Blue Sodalite Earrings” are made with sodalite chips and faux pearl beads. They are $6.00 and will also be listed on Etsy shortly. I have a similar pair at the flea market that is made with all dark stones.

I made two pairs of these “Aqua Splash Earrings,” but I have more of the beads so if they sell, I will make more. I have one pair at the flea market and kept one here to sell on Etsy. They are $6.00.

I have several pairs of the “Blue Swarovski Crystal Earrings” made up. i actually made these a few weeks ago. They were some of the first items I tried at the flea market. I left two pairs there and brought the rest home to list on Etsy. They are $12 per pair and are made with blue glass beads and clear Swarovski crystals.

While I was first setting up my display in my friend’s booth I noticed how many of the earrings were blue and remarked that you can sure tell what my favorite color is. She said I needed to make some green ones because that’s her favorite color. So here is some green. These are $4.00 earrings, made with beads I found on clearance at Hobby Lobby. I love clearance sales almost as much as I love garage sales and thrift shops.

I wish I had taken pictures of the displays I have set up at the indoor flea market. Ah, material for another post. I’ll have to remember to take my camera with me next time.

Good luck with your earring sales. You have a nice variety! My card sales are at a record low for August, and September is not looking much better at the moment. Not sure what is going on…hopefully sales will pick up soon for both of us :)

Thanks for the encouragement, June. I hope your sales pick up too. :)
